Our Christmas Eve was spent mostly in the car. We left at 4 am for the yearly trek up to Carson City. We took our normal route up the 395 through Mammoth Lakes. It was beautiful. Thankfully, the trip was uneventful even with the section of road that required chains. I generally don't take pictures of just scenery, but this was really pretty and our screen saver needs some photos to mix things up a bit. :) Enjoy the beauty of this great earth!

Christmas
Where do I start? It was great, but uneventful. I don't really have any pictures from the big day. I do have one really long video that I will not be posting. In fact, I will probably burn it to a dvd so that it doesn't eat up all of the space on my hard drive. For the first time since I got my camera back in March I have used pretty much the whole 4 GB memory card. Charlie received a lot of fun toys from aunts and uncles and Nana and Papa. Mom and Dad also gave him a few. His favorites happen to be: a fridge magnet set that goes through the sounds of letters, a grocery cart, a tool box with dancing tools, and his magnadoodle. Such a spoiled little boy. All of these toys will end up in subsequent posts.
I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday!

Ornament Thief
I feel like all I have been telling Charlie is "don't touch". He can't touch the bird or the shutters. Now we have added the Christmas tree full of fun, colorful ornaments. Usually I let him watch and then tell him not to touch once his little hand extends towards one of his favorites. Well, I got distracted. Which is pretty easy when you are cleaning. I looked up and saw the back of Charlie retreating into his room with a black pompom bear ornament in one hand. When I get to him he looks up to me and holds the bear up for me to take. He then takes me back to the tree and picks up the plastic hook so that I can put it back on the tree. Such a good boy.
(don't tell Dave that I was slacking at my sentry station overlooking the tree) :)
