Sad Weekend, Sad Weather

Today is a very sad day. We start moving out of our home today. The skies are feeling the sadness. They have started crying before me. I just hope they don't start bawling until tomorrow afternoon. We really can't deal with all of the drama while loading the truck. :)

In preparation of moving I had to copy down all of Charlie's measurements off of the back of the door in his room. So as everyone knows how moving is, I am putting this important information in a very safe place.... here on the blog. Won't be able to loose them here. :) So here we go!

First Word

Christopher has started babbling up a storm this past week. Most of his jabbering is just super cute noise though he does say mama and sometimes I think he says night night. We sure do love all these wonderful baby noises in our home!

Please send prayers

I have two job interviews next week. Please send prayers... I need the help!

Love you all!!

Tootsie Roll

To the left, to the left, to the right, to the right...

Oh sorry, flash back to church dances back during high school. :)

Christopher had his 6 month check up today. He is a good healthy boy weighing in at 17 pounds and 3 ounces and measuring about 27 inches. We don't trust the nurses at our doctor's office in their ability to measure children. When Charlie went in for his 2 year check up they said he was 38 inches when he was really only 36. I don't know where they found those two inches. Well, this time we think they made Christopher too short. We will be doing our own measuring soon to find out what he really is.

He is doing great developmentally in every aspect but one. He is not rolling over yet. He is now over 6 months and does not show any inclination in wanting to roll over (or sleep completely through the night for that matter... but that is an entirely different problem.)

How is a mother to get her son to start rolling? Any suggestions?

The doctor said that if he is not rolling over in the next month to call and she will refer him for a developmental assessment so he can be a rollie pollie bug. I wonder if his lack of rolling is feelings of fear for possibly being trampled under foot by a rampaging Chachie monster... hmmm... I know I would be scared.

Send any suggestions that you may have to get my little man up to speed!
