New Picture of the Cuteness

Happy Easter!! Just a quick post before my computer dies. I purchased a new camera which equals tons of excitement and lots of pictures of the Charlie. So for now here is some cuteness to tide you over until I post more. We love you all and hope you enjoy this blessed holiday.

As a bonus here is a cute little video as well. It is unedited and ends abruptly but well worth the two seconds. :)

Orange Disaster

Have you ever tried putting orange peels down your disposal? We used to do it all the time in our last apartment. Doesn't go so well here in our condo. One would think that we would learn from the first time we put orange peels down. The sink backed up so badly we had to run to the store to get liquid plumber. To make things worse the missionaries were due for dinner that night. During our dinner prayer they prayed that the liquid plumber would work and that our sink would become unplugged. Of course it did, about 5 minutes later. There was much rejoicing. Well, now I have done it again. It was doing really well until the last few pieces and now it is plugged and the Sabbath so we can't go run and get more liquid plumber. Dave is attempting to unplug it so that I can finish cleaning the kitchen so that I can start on dinner. I hope something works.

Can you tell that our week has been pretty uneventful? Orange peels. How incredibly interesting. :)

Stayed tune in the next few days. I am working on some very cute Charlie footage. It is way better than Charlie pictures. It is a Charlie movie.
Just have to figure out iMovie...

That is our week in a clam shell...

On the move...

This has been a crazy week for our little family, but then every week seems to be crazy. Last Sunday Charlie started working on his next big milestone, crawling. He still prefers to roll places. He is getting better at scooting himself around more and more every day. We also finally bought a booster chair to make meal times a little bit easier. Doesn't he look happy in it? He likes sitting at the table with Momma and Dad during dinner time. I really like feeding him in it since before now we were just using a infant to toddler rocker. Mom, Charlie feet and baby food just never got along very well. Now he is eating more solids and loving it. Meal times used to look more like this...
That's what you get when the baby blows raspberries into his carrots. Sorry Ben, but Charlie doesn't like carrots. He won't be following in your footsteps of turning orange from eating too many carrots. He does like his peas and green beans. He seems to like prunes and sweet potatoes as well. I am finally defying Dave and introducing those sweet yummy fruits. Did you know that they now have baby food that comes in mango and guava? Charlie gets to try the guava this time around. Figured we should prep him for our upcoming trip to Hawaii. Now just to pick a date and get a Nana and a Papa to come along.
A little into Mom and Dad's lives...
Work at Snyder Langston is going well. The bigger projects are starting to be put on hold so they are funneling a greater number of small projects through our estimating department. We are busier than ever. My little white board at work where I list our projects is overflowing. I may need to invest in a second board if it keeps going like this. I am trying to transition a little bit more into the actual estimating portion of my job. I have helped on one project and looks like I will be working on a little TI starting Monday. Other than work I try to walking with Lisa at least once a week, pushing babies up and down hills sure is a workout. I also belong to a book club. I have read the books for the last few months, but have yet to make a meeting this year. It still gives me an excuse to read books. Always a fun thing to do.
Dave's work has been keeping him busy lately. He is really starting to figure out which parts of real estate he really loves and which parts he wants to focus more on. He and I both serve on our HOA board. I think he enjoys being able to help run the community. I finally got him to help me put away the Christmas stuff today. WOOHOO!!!! Poor guy, as if he isn't busy enough he has to help around the house.

That's our life in a clamshell. Here are some pictures of the Charlie. He is growing so fast. Love you all!!

Here is Charlie exploring our dining set.
These chairs will help make great forts some day.

Charlie loves helping Dad with his work. Or maybe Charlie just loves things with red lights. Either way, he is going to a pro at using that mouse before he hits one year old.

Charlie LOVES the lovesac.
Especially when Dad is throwing him into it.

I just had to throw this picture in. This how big he was at the end of August 2007. Oh how babies grow way too fast. He has grown 7 inches since this picture. It may be more now, he hasn't been measured in a month.

Getting Started...

Life is great. How can it not be with a little Charlie in it? Dave and I are loving every minute we have with Charlie. We wish everyone could see him as he explores his new world and becomes more mobile. We have had to install a gate at the top of our stairs so that he does not roll down them when we aren't looking and it is almost time to get out all of the outlet plugs so we don't end up with a fried Charlie.

Charlie is growing fast. At his last check up he measured in at 28 inches and 16.5 pounds. He loves playing with his toys and I will be posting pictures in the next week or so of him and the latest toy. I am not sure if his mom and dad like the toy more than him, but it very well could be. This toy is a busy ball choo choo. It has three balls that spin around the "smoke stack" and it can either keep them in their little cycle or spit them out onto the floor. Greatest toy ever. Well maybe right after the busy ball popper. I am not sure which one is cooler.

About three weeks ago Dave and I invested in Disneyland passes. We go frequently despite Charlie. Charlie doesn't really like Disneyland. The rides are all too loud and most of them are really quite dark in content. I never noticed before how sinister a lot of the rides are until we took Charlie. We are determined that he will grow to love Disneyland and will one day graduate to roller coasters and maybe even one day want to ride the scarier rides with his dad. This momma is going to stay off the Tower of Terror for now.

Other than trips to Disneyland we have been trying to just stay on top of all of our obligations. Does it ever get less stressful? Hopefully someday soon we will not have every minute of everyday scheduled, but don't worry, I am not holding my breathe for that day.

We love you all and look forward to being able to stay a little bit more in touch. Who knows, maybe having one of these blogs set up for family posting would be easier than any website. Let me know your thoughts.

Pictures to comes soon. I promise.
