And now there are 4!

On Tuesday, May 26th 2009 Christopher David Ludden joined our family at 11:11 am. He weighed in at 8 pounds 4.5 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is a very sweet baby and just loves to sleep.

I must apologize for the lack of posting. It is not that life has slowed down any, I am just trying to make it through these last few weeks of pregnancy. Just one week left!

La Habra Children's Museum

This past Saturday we had nothing on the schedule. Instead of doing house work we took a family day. We have been searching for a really good children's museum ever since we visited the one by my brother out in Chicago. There are not that many around here. So here are the pictures from the museum in La Habra. Not as cool as the one in Chicago. Probably won't pay to go again. But if you are in the area and want to go, the first Saturday of the month is free thanks to Target. Charlie was pretty tired while we were there since we didn't make it there until his nap time. He did seem to enjoy it. =)

They had an "archelogical" dig site for the kids.
Charlie tried to use the brush as a shovel. He made quite a mess.

The museum had some full sized railroad cars from the early days of the railroad industry.


One of the cars was a caboose. Here is Charlie up in the cupola (where the conductors could look out and see the whole train and what was around it.)

Charlie loved the old fashioned typewriter.

There was a little grocery store with carts and fake food. Charlie loved the carts. I have video of him taking us on a tour of the entire museum pushing one. It is just too big to post here. Though I must say he was perfecting his ability to speed shop.

Last picture...They had just opened a new exhibit about being earth friendly. At this station they had a car and a few different fuel pumps (gas, hydrogen, biodiesel, and electricity). It gave facts about emmissions and how far a car would run on the specified type of fuel. Charlie didn't car much about the fuel, but he loved the car.

We had a lot of fun spending time as a family and exploring something new!

Kids say the... darndest things

Dave and I are completely addicted to a game called Text Twist. We used to play it on the computer until Dave downloaded it onto his phone. Now we play it on his phone ALL the time. The game consists of 6 scrambled letters and the goal is to find all the words, of any length, that can be made from the letters, especially the 6 letter word(s). If you don't find at least one 6 letter word your game is over. We have a never ending game on his phone, currently at 2.5 million points.


Last night Dave had just finished a round of Text Twist and handed me the phone, saying "Look at the 6 letter words."

I glanced at it quickly, then started a new game and said, "madden and demand?"

Dave replied, "No, the other one."

I said, "It's gone. I've already started a new game!"

Dave then says, "The other 6 letter word was damned."

Upon which Charlie immediately says, "Damn!"
