I'm busy!

Charlie was in his chair eating a cup of yogurt. Chris was in his chair on the other side of the counter being tickled playfully by his daddy and laughing. Charlie says, "Hey, don't tickle my brother!" So Dave walks around the other side of the counter with fingers in the tickling position, headed toward Charlie, who says, "No don't tickle me! I'm busy!"

Oh, How I Covet Thee!

I want some of this soooo bad. There was a cart at CA Adventures and we taste tested the Black Cherry Balsamic Vinegar, BlueberryBalsamic Vinegar and the Lemon Olive Oil. Oh how I want endless supplies of this yumminess!

Sea World Recap

We went to Sea World on Monday (post with pics to follow soon). Aunt Steph asked Charlie how he liked it. She asked if he liked the dolphins, thinking we had gone to a dolphin show which they currently don't have open. :( Charlie's response was... the dolphin pooped and pooped and pooped.

We had seen the dolphins in there holding tank and one of them hung out next to the viewing window for some time. While he was hanging out for all to see, he took a dump. Lovely. Now that is all my son remembers about the dolphins.

Foothill Ranch

The other night at dinner we were having pork sandwiches. We had the BBQ sauce to put on top of the meat. Here is how the conversation went:

Me: Charlie, do you want some BBQ sauce on your meat?
Charlie: No brown sauce, just white.
Dave: Charlie, we don't put ranch on our pork.
Charlie: But I want some Foothill Ranch!

They really do say the craziest things don't they?

Just 5 more minutes...PLEASE!!

Poor Charlie came home from the Father's and Sons camp out yesterday with a stuffy nose and a fever. He has been napping for a few hours now and being that I want him to sleep the rest of the night I tried to wake him up. (Well, it is 6pm now.) I got him to open his eyes and look at me and I told him it was time to wake up while pulling off his blanket. What does he tell me? Not yet. He doesn't want to get up yet. Aren't they supposed to wait until they start school before they start saying that? Oh, well. I guess he is an over achiever. :)

Sneaky

Dave and I were working with Grammie in the weed patch, oh I mean the "Garden". Grandpa was upstairs working in his office. Charlie was unsupervised. The way he likes to be. :) Dave and I realized this and were discussing how even though he was alone he wasn't the type of kid to make a bunch of trouble. I commented that I thought he would be more likely to get into the cookie jar than do anything destructive. Soon after Grammie volunteers to go check on him. When she goes in she finds him sitting on the floor with his hands over his mouth chewing frantically. She looks into the kitchen to see one of the bar stools pulled up to the counter where the cookie jar is.

Let's just say I know my son!

If you want to check out the cookies he got into go here. We made the oatmeal scotchies variation found at the bottom.
