BOOM!

We currently have the Big Blast Collection of Mythbuster episodes from Netflix. We have let Charlie watch parts of different episodes. He has learned one important things from watching these shows with us.

Charlie: "3...2...1...(exploding noise)"
Dada and Mama: (laughter)

Wish I had some video of it.

Easter Egg Hunt at Grammie and Grandpa's

The evening of Easter all of Dave's family gathered at his parent's house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner.

Here are the kids waiting to be let loose on the backyard.

The only picture of the grand kids from that day with all of them standing still and somewhat happy.

Easter Family Photo Shoot

On Easter Sunday I dressed Charlie up super cute.

So we decided to take advantage of his super cuteness by taking photos of him and of us as a family. Especially since we will be a family of three for only a little but longer. We had a hard time with shadows and bright sunshine, but here are the cute ones from the bunches we took.

We will start with Charlie...

So many yummies to try to steal.

Getting into someone else's Easter basket.

and eating their chocolate. =)

Chocolate drool...yummy!

And on to the whole family...

Family Outing - General Conference Weekend

Between session of General Conference on Saturday April 4th we went to (or should I say crashed) Las Flores' and Ladera Ranch's spring celebrations. We enjoyed both, but would totally recommend Las Flores over Ladera Ranch. Charlie had a bunch of firsts...

Bye bye naptime...

How do you get a 20 month old boy, who is full of energy, to sleep?

I Blame Dave

It's all Dave's fault. This is what I understand as to how it all happened.

*Mama put Charlie down for his "nap"
*Mama left, Charlie never slept
*An hour goes by, still no sleeping
*Daddy gets Charlie up
*Charlie is hungry
*Daddy gets bread out of fridge to make sandwich
*Puts bread in toaster
*Charlie wants a book read to him
*Daddy reads book, toaster beeps
*Daddy finishes book, bread now hard
*Daddy makes sandwich
*Charlie won't eat it
*Daddy thinks, "How to get little man to eat hard sandwich... Idea!...Applesauce"
*Daddy gives Charlie applesauce, shows him how to put applesauce on sandwich to make it softer
*Charlie eats sandwich and rest of applesauce
*Mama comes home
*Mama now has to deal with this...

Can you find the rest of Charlie's sandwich?

It seems to be broken...

The other night I wanted to watch one of the videos my mom made us of different Mythbuster episodes. There was one video in the VCR, but I wanted to switch it out. So I hit the eject button. The VCR tried to eject it. Opened the door, lifted the video and then went back to it's normal resting position with the video inside and the door closed. I tried twice. I had to ask Dave to take a look at it. We were afraid he would need to take it apart and pry the tape out of the heads. Thankfully, Dave is a better problem solver than I am. This is what he found in the VCR...

I wonder who would have put that dvd in there?

So You Think You Can Dance

Charlie has started practicing for his up coming chances on any reality TV show that involves dancing. His training includes watching classic musicals like Oklahoma and the Music Man and copying the dance moves in them. I think he may have a little bit of talent in him.
